Dr. Martin Luther King Was A Republican

I'm not a Republican as much as I am a Conservative. I don't vote based on a party. I vote based on my morals, values, and conservative beliefs. Unlike Democrats I can see past a party line and vote for the best leader, even if he or she isn't perfect. This doesn't mean I will vote outside of the Republican/Democrat field because a vote for any other party is a wasted vote(at least in a presidential election). This is how Dr. Martin Luther King lived his life. He involved himself with the party that helped free slaves, enforce Civil Rights, and essentially lift the American black man and woman on a pedestal. It's too bad the Democrats have lied to them enough to make them actually believe that Dems care more. This article is from humanevents.com:

It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why? From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S's: slavery, secession, segregation and now socialism.

It was the Democrats who fought to keep blacks in slavery and passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws. The Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize blacks. The Democrats fought to prevent the passage of every civil rights law beginning with the civil rights laws of the 1860s, and continuing with the civil rights laws of the 1950s and 1960s.
Democrat President John F. Kennedy is lauded as a proponent of civil rights. However, Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil Rights Act while he was a senator, as did Democrat Sen. Al Gore Sr. And after he became President, Kennedy was opposed to the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King that was organized by A. Phillip Randolph, who was a black Republican. President Kennedy, through his brother Atty. Gen. Robert Kennedy, had Dr. King wiretapped and investigated by the FBI on suspicion of being a Communist in order to undermine Dr. King.

In March of 1968, while referring to Dr. King's leaving Memphis, Tenn., after riots broke out where a teenager was killed, Democrat Sen. Robert Byrd (W.Va.), a former member of the Ku Klux Klan, called Dr. King a "trouble-maker" who starts trouble, but runs like a coward after trouble is ignited. A few weeks later, Dr. King returned to Memphis and was assassinated on April 4, 1968.

Obama Lied About Abortion Record

This from Humanevents.com:

The Obama camp is now acknowledging that Barack Obama lied about his abortion voting record on the Born Alive bill, as reported weeks ago in the New York Times bestseller The Case Against Barack Obama by David Freddoso.

The New York Sun reported that Obama's campaign has admitted that the senator voted against giving medical care to babies born alive after an abortion attempt—a fact that the campaign originally dismissed as a "smear." The reality behind Obama's rhetoric is that he worked against efforts to ban the gruesome practice of leaving babies who survived failed abortions to die. When confronted with the facts, Freddoso says the senator did what is typical among politicians—he lied.

In fact, as Freddoso points out in The Case Against Barack Obama, Obama has made several untrue statements over the course of this debate. While Obama said that he would have supported the federal version of the Born Alive bill if it had come up in Illinois, when it did come up, he in fact did not support it.

Additionally, he falsely accused the National Right to Life Committee, and those who have been pointing out his extreme and cruel position on this issue of being liars. Even in his book, The Audacity of Hope, Obama smears all pro-lifers saying they have discouraged compromise that would reduce the number of partial-birth abortions simply because the image of a partial-birth abortion helps win converts to pro-life groups.

Obama Is A Monster

The following is from an article I just read. The link is here.

This is a tremendously important article for those that value human life at all. I've taken the best parts and highlighted them:

Reasonable people may differ in their opinions regarding abortion and thorny questions of precisely when life begins. But once a baby is born, even prematurely, there is across-the-board agreement that a new human life exists. Certainly, there is no longer any threat to the health of the mother. Abortion is no longer an option, as there is no longer a pregnancy to terminate.

Earlier this decade, such living, breathing, babies who survived labor were "shelved" - left to die and disposed of with other medical waste, or were "aborted" - killed outside the womb. The practice was ultimately banned by unanimous Congressional votes, as even the most pro-abortion Senate Democrats - including every defender of partial-birth abortion - recognized that killing these breathing babies is no longer abortion in any real sense. It crosses the line; it is infanticide. Yet, incredibly, Obama repeatedly worked to deny these living babies any right to life.

Jill Stanek, an Illinois nurse, testified in the US Congress in 2000 and 2001 - and before Obama's Illinois Senate Judiciary Committee - about how induced labor abortions were handled at her hospital, relating this story: "One night, a nursing co-worker was taking an aborted Down syndrome baby who was born alive to our Soiled Utility Room because his parents did not want to hold him, and she did not have the time to hold him. I couldn't bear the thought of this suffering child lying alone in a Soiled Utility Room, so I cradled and rocked him for the 45 minutes that he lived." Powerful stuff. Obama, however, was reportedly "unfazed" by her testimony.

In March of 2001, Obama's Illinois Judiciary Committee considered a law substantially identical to the BAIPA. It passed the Committee, with Obama voting against. In front of the full Illinois Senate, Obama was the only senator to speak against the bill, arguing that life protection extended to any (!) preterm babies (ponder that) could jeopardize abortion rights. He voted "present," tantamount to a "no" vote. In March of 2002, Obama's Committee passed the Induced Birth Liability Act, requiring medical care for babies who survive induced labor abortions - Obama again voting "present," arguing that the Act would "create one more burden on women, and I can't support that."

What kind of principle is this? What core value is Obama expressing? What extremist doctrine or interest is he defending? And how doctrinaire must one be to defend actual infanticide? This goes well beyond any reasonable advocacy of a woman's "right to choose;" it attacks a living baby's right to life. His position is not simply "pro-choice;" it is radically anti-life. It is, in fact, pro-death. Whatever one may make of the doctrines of his America-bashing, anti-Israel, Farrakhan-honoring pastor (or why a "uniter" would belong to his church for over 20 years), Obama professes to be a practicing Christian; so, what in the life-affirming Judeo-Christian value system could possibly give license to kill live babies?

McCain's VP Choice is the Most Vital Choice of His Campaign

Last Saturday the Saddleback Showdown appeared on television where Obama and McCain faced the same questions during a debate. McCain slaughtered Obama throughout the whole forum and Obama showed his true colors in that he has no true foundation of morals.

In the question about where does life start and at what point does that life have the same human rights as the rest of us McCain quickly answered, "At conception". He followed this with a quick history of his voting record on this issue. Obama, asked the same question, said, uh, uh, uh, blah blah blah I can't make that judgement because it's above my pay grade.

My point, at least in this specific article, is that McCain MUST MUST MUST choose a pro-life Vice President. I am telling you right now that if he does this he will secure his presidency. If he does not, he will negate everything he said so wonderfully at the Saddleback forum and he will lose this presidency. Good luck Senator McCain. We're counting on you.

Obama Shows Socialist Nature By Abortion Quote

Obama has said that if his daughters were to make a mistake, he wouldn't want them punished with a baby. This was in response to the obvious 'Do you support abortion?' question. Doesn't this quote prove his socialist nature like any other liberal?

If you make a mistake and get a home loan you can't afford, the government will help you out because we don't want you punished with your bad decisions! If you can't save for your own retirement we'll just mandate a federal tax so that you can't make a mistake in the first place because you're too stupid to save your own money!

Well Social Security sure worked out well didn't it? Keep talking big guy(I mean you Obama). You're bringing your own campaign to it's knees.

Obama Should Mandate Properly Inflated Tires

Obama has come up with an energy plan. Inflate your tires to the proper size and save fuel. That's it. Let's ignore the fact that we send 700 billion dollars overseas for oil. Let's ignore the fact that we're sitting on our own gold mine of oil and instead of doing anything about it we should just properly inflate our tires.

Here's a suggestion Mr. Hussein Obama: Why don't you MANDATE that every American inflate their tires to the proper size. Since you're going to MANDATE that we socialize health care as well as everything else you can get your commie hands on you might as well MANDATE proper tire size too. In fact, why don't you take some of our hard earned money and set up road blocks so that we have government officials checking our tire pressure and hand out fines for those of us not properly conserving the environment by not having the correct tire pressure. You might as well. If you think that's silly, just think how moronic the rest of your campaign looks to America. Yes, you may have the media in your back pocket stroking your ego like the rock star you've become, but the American people are smarter than you think sir. And this is why you will lose. Keep it up. Your liberal and socialist and communistic nature will lose this election for you. All we have to do is sit back and watch you tank on your own.
